Take a Quiet Place walk with author Trish Weldon and the unlikely elements of nature God used to draw her out of a busy-bee world and into His presence.
Hear God’s gentle whisper in a weed-entangled garden, a peach tree, a crafty squirrel, an old pine tree, a diseased Horse Chestnut tree, a pretty Kalanchoe plant, and more!
Learn compelling truths from God’s Word about trust, purpose, strength through storms, acceptance in the planting place, rooting deep, and wisdom to know when to let go.
Be empowered to slow down in His presence to hear His voice speak encouragement and peace to your weary heart as you find your way to the center of His heart.

The Bible often uses nature to teach us Truth but the busyness of life drowns out God’s voice. Trish Weldon invites us to sit in the peace of the garden, to stay awhile, and listen at the feet of the Master as he turns our heart to His Creation and shows us His Truths in His Word. I enjoyed the gentle encouragement and clear application of Biblical principles.

Trish Weldon’s conversational style and anecdotes drew me into this story of how God used examples from nature to help her grow in her walk with Him. Her examples and illustrations were practical and thought-provoking, and I very often found myself stopping to reflect on how I could apply what the Lord taught her in my own life. For anyone seeking more quiet time with the Lord, wanting to have their roots more firmly planted in good soil, and even for those who wonder what can be learned from the storms of life—this book is for you!

Trish Weldon has written an inspirational devotional reflecting on her countless visits to a local park—a place God used to open insightful conversations with her. Trish invites readers into her story as she lingers to hear God’s voice and gleans wisdom through nature lessons. There were moments I was challenged with her comments--“perspective changes everything” and “nothing ever grows without perseverance.” Other times I laughed out loud as I read about her light-hearted predicaments! At one place in her book Trish stated, “There was power in my pause. . .” as she cautiously discerned God’s direction. I would add you’ll find power in your pause when you choose to read this arousing devotional!
